Several streets to be closed in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Soon, some roads near the Broadway Bridge will be closed while crews install a high-pressure gas line beneath the Arkansas River.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, the following streets will be closed:

  • Third Street between State Street and Broadway Street;
  • Fourth Street between State Street and Broadway Street; and
  • Arch Street between Third Street and Fourth Street

Barricades and detour signage will be installed to inform motorists of the closure.

Improvements to I-40 will require a ramp closure in NLR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AHTD) Improvements to Interstate 40 will require an overnight ramp closure in North Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be resurfacing the eastbound JFK Boulevard exit ramp (Exit 153 A).  Drivers are encouraged to exit using Exit 152, the Pike Avenue exit, located just west of Exit 153A.

The ramp closure will be Wednesday night, August 6th between 9:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Overnight lane closures scheduled for Big Rock

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Work on the I-430/630 (Big Rock) Interchange will require a lane closure on Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be painting steel on the Interstate 430 north to I-630 east bridge.  

The work will require closing the eastbound outside lane on I-630. The closure will occur between the I-430 southbound on-ramp and the I-430 northbound on-ramp.

The closure will be Tuesday night, July 29th through Friday morning, August 1st, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.  Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Sign installation requires overnight ramp closure

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AHTD) - Sign installation will require an overnight ramp closure between Interstate 430 and Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be hanging overhead signs. The work will require closing the I-430 southbound to I-630 eastbound loop ramp in Little Rock. Traffic will be detoured to Shackleford Road to access I-630 eastbound.  

The ramp closure will be Wednesday night, July 9th through Thursday morning, July 10th, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs. This work had been scheduled for Tuesday night, but was delayed due to rain.

Bridge repairs will require lane closures on Interstate 30 in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK (6-13) – Bridge repairs will require lane closures on Interstate 30 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will repair the bridge deck on the Arch Street overpass. The work will require closing the eastbound outside lane of Interstate 30. The lane closure will extend east from near 65th Street (mile marker 134) to the I-30/I-530/I-440 interchange (mile marker 137).

The lane closures will be Monday, June 16th through Tuesday, June 17th, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs. The work had been scheduled to be complete June 12th, but work was postponed that week, due to weather.

Ramp closures planned for I-530 in Pulaski County

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Improvements along Interstate 530 northbound require interchange ramp closures in southern Pulaski County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will resurface the I-530 northbound interchange ramps at Exit 15 in Hensley and Exit 12 in Woodson. The work will require closing each ramp for approximately one hour as it’s being resurfaced.   

The work will take place Friday, June 6th between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. Crews will begin at the Hensley interchange. Once it is complete, they will begin working at the Woodson interchange. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Bridge maintenance will require lane closures on Interstate 630

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Bridge maintenance will require lane closures on Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will perform maintenance on the Jonesboro Street and Fair Park Boulevard overpasses. The work will reduce eastbound traffic on Interstate 630 to one lane. The inside and center lanes will be closed between mile markers 4 and 6.

The lane closures will be Sunday, May 18th between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.
