NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Crews with North Little Rock Electric working on street lighting on Interstate 30 in North Little Rock will require a lane closure this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The improvements will be located between the Arkansas River and Interstate 40 and will require the eastbound, inside lane to be closed on Saturday, September 24th.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Crews making final repairs to Baseline Road in the vicinity of a water main break that occurred last Sunday will require a lane closure beginning Monday, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The lane closure, in the 5300 block of Baseline, will require both westbound lanes to be closed Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26.  The lane closure will be in effect beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday and will continue until work is completed on Tuesday, weather permitting.  Both directions of traffic will be routed through the area utilizing the eastbound lanes.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Crews performing maintenance on Interstate lighting will require a lane closure this week on Interstate 30 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The lane closure, in the downtown area, will require the westbound, inside lane to be closed Tuesday, July 19th and Wednesday, July 20th.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), more than 13,000 lives were lost across America in speeding-related traffic crashes during 2005.

NHTSA considers a crash to be speeding-related if the driver was charged with a speeding-related offense, or if the responding officer indicates that the driver was driving too fast for conditions at the time or was exceeding the posted speed limit.  In 2005, speeding was a contributing factor in 30 percent of all fatal crashes nationally.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Crews rehabilitating arch columns on a railroad overpass on LaHarpe Boulevard (Highway 10) in downtown Little Rock will require a lane closure this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The improvements will require the westbound, inside lane to be closed Wednesday, June 29 and Thursday, June 30.    The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Crews performing resurfacing work will require a lane closure next week on Interstate 440 in Little Rock and North Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The lane closure, between the Prothro Junction area and the Little Rock Port Industrial Park, will require the westbound, inside lane to be closed beginning Monday, June 20 and continuing through Thursday, June 23.  The lane closure will be in effect between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
