Lane closure next week for inspection | Transportation

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Crews performing a routine inspection of the Interstate 55 Bridge over the Mississippi River between Memphis and West Memphis will require a lane closure next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

The inspection will require an alternating lane closure between the southbound, outside lane and the northbound, outside lane of the bridge beginning Monday, December 10th and continuing through Thursday, December 13th.  The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.      

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
