Construction work requires overnight lane closures and detours

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Construction work will require nightly lane closures and detours at the Interstate 430/630 “Big Rock” Interchange in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be removing safety platforms and painting steel beams on the new bridge over Shackleford Road. The following routes will be affected.

-- All lanes of Financial Centre Parkway/I-630 will be open.

-- Shackleford Road northbound traffic will be detoured to I-630 east and through the cloverleaf ramps back to I-630 west and Shackleford Road north.

· Northbound traffic wanting to go east on I-630 can proceed as normal.

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Construction work at the I-430/I-630 (Big Rock) Interchange will require overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be painting the I-630 westbound to I-430 southbound bridge. This work will require closing the outside lane of Financial Centre Parkway and Interstate 630 eastbound from Hermitage Road to the Baptist Hospital Ramp.

Crews will also be removing safety platforms from the Shackleford Bridge. This work will require closing the eastbound and westbound inside lanes of Financial Centre Parkway from Hermitage Road to Shackleford Road.

The lane closures will be Sunday night, August 24th through Friday morning, August 29th, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Sign installation will require a lane closure on Shackleford Road in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be installing a new sign. This work will require closing the southbound outside lane of Shackleford Road. The closure will extend south, from Markham Street to Financial Centre Parkway.  

The lane closure will be Monday, August 25th through Thursday, August 28th, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Improvements to Interstate 630 will require overnight lane closures in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will remove wood platforms beneath the I-630 west to I-430 south bridge. The work will require closing the I-630 eastbound outside lane between Hermitage Road and the Baptist Hospital off-ramp.

The lane closures will be Monday night, August 18th through Friday morning, August 22nd, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Improvements to Interstate 530 will require periodic ramp closures

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Improvements to Interstate 530 will require periodic ramp closures in southern Pulaski County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be resurfacing the I-530 southbound Bingham Road on ramp and off ramp (Exit 9).

The southbound entrance ramp will be closed beginning Wednesday, August 20th at 7:00 a.m. The ramp will be closed for periods of up to one hour between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The southbound exit ramp will be closed for periods up to one hour between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

If weather prevents work from being performed, the closures will be postponed until Thursday, August 21st.

AHTD will hold public meetings over I-30, I-40 expansion

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) - The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold Public Involvement Meetings in Pulaski County to discuss plans to widen Interstates 30 and 40.

The construction work will widen and reconstruct Interstates 30 and 40 between Interstate 530 in Little Rock and U.S. Highway 67 in North Little Rock. It includes a new bridge over the Arkansas River.

Several streets to be closed in Little Rock

Several streets to be closed in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Soon, some roads near the Broadway Bridge will be closed while crews install a high-pressure gas line beneath the Arkansas River.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, the following streets will be closed:

  • Third Street between State Street and Broadway Street;
  • Fourth Street between State Street and Broadway Street; and
  • Arch Street between Third Street and Fourth Street

Barricades and detour signage will be installed to inform motorists of the closure.
