Improvements to Interstate 630 will require overnight lane closures

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Improvements to Interstate 630 will require overnight lane closures in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will remove wood platforms beneath the I-630 west to I-430 south bridge. The work will require closing the I-630 eastbound outside lane between Hermitage Road and the Baptist Hospital off-ramp.

The lane closures will be Monday night, August 18th through Friday morning, August 22nd, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Improvements to Interstate 530 will require periodic ramp closures

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Improvements to Interstate 530 will require periodic ramp closures in southern Pulaski County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be resurfacing the I-530 southbound Bingham Road on ramp and off ramp (Exit 9).

The southbound entrance ramp will be closed beginning Wednesday, August 20th at 7:00 a.m. The ramp will be closed for periods of up to one hour between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., weather permitting.

The southbound exit ramp will be closed for periods up to one hour between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting.

If weather prevents work from being performed, the closures will be postponed until Thursday, August 21st.

AHTD will hold public meetings over I-30, I-40 expansion

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) - The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) will hold Public Involvement Meetings in Pulaski County to discuss plans to widen Interstates 30 and 40.

The construction work will widen and reconstruct Interstates 30 and 40 between Interstate 530 in Little Rock and U.S. Highway 67 in North Little Rock. It includes a new bridge over the Arkansas River.

The meetings will be held at the following locations:

Several streets to be closed in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Soon, some roads near the Broadway Bridge will be closed while crews install a high-pressure gas line beneath the Arkansas River.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, the following streets will be closed:

  • Third Street between State Street and Broadway Street;
  • Fourth Street between State Street and Broadway Street; and
  • Arch Street between Third Street and Fourth Street

Barricades and detour signage will be installed to inform motorists of the closure.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AHTD) Improvements to Interstate 40 will require an overnight ramp closure in North Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be resurfacing the eastbound JFK Boulevard exit ramp (Exit 153 A).  Drivers are encouraged to exit using Exit 152, the Pike Avenue exit, located just west of Exit 153A.

The ramp closure will be Wednesday night, August 6th between 9:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Overnight lane closures scheduled for Big Rock

LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Work on the I-430/630 (Big Rock) Interchange will require a lane closure on Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be painting steel on the Interstate 430 north to I-630 east bridge.  

The work will require closing the eastbound outside lane on I-630. The closure will occur between the I-430 southbound on-ramp and the I-430 northbound on-ramp.

The closure will be Tuesday night, July 29th through Friday morning, August 1st, between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.  Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

Sign installation requires overnight ramp closure

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AHTD) - Sign installation will require an overnight ramp closure between Interstate 430 and Interstate 630 in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

Crews will be hanging overhead signs. The work will require closing the I-430 southbound to I-630 eastbound loop ramp in Little Rock. Traffic will be detoured to Shackleford Road to access I-630 eastbound.  

The ramp closure will be Wednesday night, July 9th through Thursday morning, July 10th, between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs. This work had been scheduled for Tuesday night, but was delayed due to rain.
