Act of compassion and fashion for The Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas

Act of compassion and fashion for The Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas

The Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas based in Conway has been given a generous act of compassion and fashion through the work of No-Fuss Scarves (http://nofussscarves.com/) and local not for profit organization, The Compassion Fashion Project.  The collaboration between both entities has resulted in a wardrobe donation for residents living in the Conway women's shelter.  The patented scarf designs provide several options for wear within one item, resulting in variations for the women's closets.  Scarves can be draped accordingly to create a shirt, wrap, dress, skirt or multiple other garments.  In fact, the company touts their designs as "a wardrobe within a scarf."

The Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas has provided emergency assistance to domestic violence victims since November of 1995.   It also operates a rape-crisis hotline and healthy dating programs in the schools.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Little Rock Fashion Week 2011 has received many accolades for recent events.  Hosted by Today's THV's Ashley Blackstone and Peter Bailey of NBC's Nitecap with Peter Bailey, the Posh Expression Experience fashion show was the highlight of the week.

Showcasing fashion designers hand-selected by the producer of Little Rock Fashion Week, Brandon Campbell, all was aglow and full of excitement for the "fashionment" event (as Campbell calls it).

Located at the Statehouse Convention Center in the Peabody Hotel made for a lovely venue with much space for all who appeared at this event.  Upon entering, guests were able to view the vendor booths lining the walls of the long hallway.
