LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's time to switch out your winter boots for your basketball shoes. The Little Rock School District announced their "Jammin for Jackets" tournament on Tuesday. The Basketball Invitational will kick off this Thursday evening and last through Saturday, December 14th. The fundraiser supports local school athletes, and was started in 1998 to buy letterman jackets for student athletes who otherwise couldn't afford them. "It means the world because these jackets are not cheap and for these guys to come out and plan a tournament and do something good in the long run, it's a great honor," said Rickey Williams, Champs director. Baptist Health and Champs are sponsoring this year's tournament.
