LITTLE ROCK — The Pulaski County prosecutor’s office said Thursday it will not take action on a criminal complaint alleging that the Pulaski County Special School District failed to comply with requests for documents sought under the state Freedom of Information Act.

Dennis Byrd, chief of the Arkansas News Bureau and publisher of four Pulaski County newspapers, filed the complaint June 15, alleging that Superintendent Charles Hopson did not comply with a May 2 FOI request for text messages sent and received by Hopson’s cell phone during a four-month period.
