LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Two men were injured in a shooting that happened on Monday evening in Little Rock.

A police report showed that John Roberts, 37, of Little Rock, ran into a home on the 2800 block of Wolfe Street, pointing a shotgun. A woman in the home apparently grabbed the gun and a struggle ensued with Roberts, her, and another man in the home.

Police said the man in the home was shot in the leg during the struggle and returned fire, striking Roberts several times in the chest and leg before Roberts fled the scene.

Both men have been treated for their injuries. Roberts was taken to UAMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roberts has been charged with aggravated assault; charges for first-degree battery were pending at the time of this report.

Police did not say why Roberts had entered the home with a weapon.
