Annual holiday parade returns to downtown LR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – With the Thanksgiving parades behind us, we look forward to an annual event happening right here in Little Rock.

The Big Jingle Jubilee Holiday Parade returns to downtown Little Rock this Saturday, Dec. 5.

The event takes place from 3-5 p.m. It begins at 2nd and Broadway streets and ends at Capitol.

This year's Grand Marshal will be former Razorback and NFL running back, Peyton Hillis.

Fireworks and lighting of the Capitol will follow at dark. The parade and fireworks are free to the public.

The parade has 119 registrants, including seven high school bands and 41 floats.

High school marching bands and non-profit community organizations have to opportunity to win cash prizes up to $1,000.

The parade will continue unless there is lightning or freezing temperatures. If canceled, the parade will be rescheduled for the following Saturday, December 12.
