LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – On Tuesday, the Saint Mark Baptist Church outreach ministry held the 10th annual Thanksgiving Feast of Hope.

Its main purpose: to help the homeless community in Little Rock with a traditional thanksgiving meal.

Free hygiene and cold weather survival kits were also distributed.

In addition to the aforementioned items, the event also provided professional haircuts, medical services and legal help.

The Department of Workforce Services was also on site with its Mobile Workforce Center to help those looking for a job.

"It just gives us the opportunity to make even a little dent in someone’s day," said Shayla McCullough with St. Mark’s Baptist Church.

Why dedicate the precious time around the holidays?

"Because you never know when you may be in their situation where you may need someone to reach a hand out to help you," added McCullough.

The Saint Mark Outreach Ministry is very active in helping those who don't have a home, providing meals, clothing, and outdoor survival items twice a month to the homeless on the Saint Mark campus.
