Man arrested for murder of his father

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – A 30-year-old man is in custody for the alleged murder of his father, and attacking his mother.

Lt. Sidney Allen said officers were called to a home on the 11000 block of Doe Run Drive about an assault. When officers arrived the front door was open.

Officers entered the home and saw the suspect, Sean Johnson, standing in the kitchen unarmed. He was commanded to get down, and when he did he was placed under arrest. However, when they were trying to remove him from the home, police said he became uncooperative, throwing his weight around and struggling with officers. Police said Sean had to be tased in order to get him to comply.

One of the victims, 60-year-old Ronald Johnson, was found lying on the living room floor not breathing. Paramedics started to work on him, and he was transported to St. Vincent where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed to get a cause of death.

The other victim, Sean's mother, said that Sean attacked her and Ronald with a knife. That knife was taken into evidence.

Sean Johnson was taken to Baptist for treatment to a cut on his hand, then he was charged with aggravated assault on family household member and second degree murder.
