LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Two people are arrested in connection with a robbery that happened at an Arvest Bank branch Monday afternoon.

Police said a man had gotten out of his vehicle to go inside the Arvest Bank, 16107 Chenal Parkway, when one or two people ran toward him, shot him in the leg, took his cash, and ran off.

Witnesses said the suspect(s) then ran across the street to Kroger, where a man happened to be in the area with a gun. He began shooting at the suspect(s), but did not hit either of them. His bullet did graze a bystander's vehicle. Police said the man has a Concealed Carry Permit, but he could faces charges in this case.

Officers said the suspects drove off in a getaway car, a white car with a donut tire on it, which was found abandoned a short time later in the 15000 block of Chenal Parkway.

Witnesses were conflicted as to whether one or two people approached the victim in the Arvest Bank parking lot, but they were certain that two people were in the getaway car.

Monday evening, officers had two individuals in custody for the robbery, but neither had been charged. Little Rock Police ask anyone with information in this case to contact them.

Earlier Monday morning, Carino's restaurant was also robbed. Police have informed THV 11 that these two robberies are not connected.
