24 of the country’s top garden bloggers head to the Natural State for two-day summit

On April 26 and 27, P. Allen Smith and his Garden Home partners will host 24 garden bloggers from around the country for two days of trend sharing and knowledge exchange.

“The bloggers who will be joining us represent a unique group of people who are changing the way people are receiving information,” says Mimi San Pedro, chief marketing and operating officer of Hortus Ltd. “The essence of Garden2Blog is to create a place for us to share ideas and information about our industry, to talk trends and inspiration and to simply get to know each other better.”

The event begins with tours of area gardens designed by Allen and his team at P. Allen Smith & Associates, including the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, Marlsgate Plantation and private client residences.

CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) — “Ask This Old House” kicked off a new season in the fall by traveling from coast to coast tackling home improvement projects and offering practical tips and instruction to help homeowners with projects around the home. The crew stopped in Little Rock in October, taping two segments that will air Saturdays, Feb. 12 and 19, at 1 p.m.

The Little Rock segments included a workshop in the River Market pavilion that addressed repairing window screens and a house call to replace an outdoor electrical outlet.

The first episode Feb. 12 will feature planting a garden bed and live home improvement workshops in Little Rock, Memphis and Tulsa. In the first episode of a two-part road trip through America’s heartland, landscape contractor Roger Cook helps a homeowner in Wichita, Kan., plant a narrow garden bed near her driveway.
