Arthritis Foundation’s Jazzy Joints Set for April 14

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –– The Arthritis Foundation will host Jazzy Joints on Thursday, April 14 at 6:00 pm at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion. The event will serve as a high spirited party featuring jazz music, dancing and a silent auction.

Jazzy Joints supports the Arthritis Foundation’s mission by raising funds to support proven programs to help fight arthritis pain, to pursue public policy on behalf of patients and to invest in groundbreaking research for effective treatments and a cure. In Arkansas alone, 653,000 adults and 2,700 children wake up every day to the pain of arthritis. Funds raised at Jazzy Joints will be utilized by the Arthritis Foundation to support initiatives such as the evidence-based Life Improvement Series Programs, including aquatics and land-based exercise programs that are developed specifically for patients with arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation also funds programs for families living with juvenile arthritis. Currently, children from Arkansas have the opportunity to attend Juvenile Arthritis Camp at Camp Aldersgate, a camp created especially for children living with arthritis and provided to families at no cost.

“Jazzy Joints carries with it a tradition of pulling our community together to raise funds and awareness of arthritis and the millions of people it affects,” said Denise Norwood, Jazzy Joints media relations Chair. “We look forward to a fun and exciting evening, all while spreading the word in our community that arthritis and its limitations are unacceptable.”
