LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Eighth Annual ThinkNurse Expo is Saturday, April 30 from 9 am -1 pm at the Metroplex Event Center located near I-430 and Colonel Glenn in Little Rock.

It’s the annual gathering of healthcare recruiters and educators brought to you by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and Publishing Concepts, Inc., publisher of the ASBN Update magazine.  It’s the largest gathering of healthcare professionals held in one place, at one time, in the state of Arkansas. Representatives from the state’s most prestigious and largest hospitals, healthcare facilities and schools of nursing annually attend this Expo to meet with and interview candidates for potential employment in the healthcare field.

Earlier this spring I was able to attend an event at War Memorial Stadium called "Little Rock Serves," which is sponsored by Create Little Rock, an arm of the Little Rock Chamber.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Science Café Little Rock, co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will hold its next public forum, Pain: Fact & Fiction on April 26. Panelists will discuss how the body interprets pain from different stimuli and ways to treat it.

Held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vieux Carré Restaurant/Afterthought Bar in Little Rock’s Hillcrest area, the Science Café is a relaxed opportunity for monthly exchanges with various experts. Admission is free and no reservations are needed. A variety of food and beverages are available for purchase.
