UALR professors discuss "Egypt effect"

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – UALR professors with strong ties to Egypt and the Middle East will discuss at noon Friday, Feb. 25, what the future may hold for the country and how that could affect the United States.

The event, postponed on Feb. 4 because of winter weather, is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Middle Eastern Studies Program.

Panelists include Dr. Jacek Lubecki, professor of political science and coordinator of the Middle Eastern Studies Program; Dr. Clea Bunch, professor of history and chair of the Middle Eastern Studies Committee; Dr. Amin Akhnoukh (AHK’-nuk), professor of construction management and a native-born Egyptian; and Dr. Krista Lewis, professor of anthropology and a member of the Middle Eastern Studies faculty.
