LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 19, 2012) – UALR Children International, in partnership with the Junior League of Little Rock, will be hosting Family Fun Day for sponsored children and their families from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the UALR Jack Stephens Center.
“We are expecting Family Fun Day to be bigger than ever this year,” said UALR Children International Director Kyle Miller. “This is our main event where we get to say ‘thank you’ to our sponsored children, youth, and their parents for helping us make our agency a success.”
The event will include a musical performance by Kinder Songs, car seat safety tips for parents, and Touch-A-Truck, a unique interactive activity that allows children to climb on, explore, and discover their favorite big trucks and vehicles. A bounce house, games, and free food will add to the fun.
Dental screenings, dental sealants, general wellness physicals and athletic physicals for UALR CI children and youth who have completed annual program requirements will be available. Other activities will include vision and hearing screenings, cholesterol checks, child immunizations and human papillomavirus vaccinations, and information
at Ask-A-Doctor and Ask-A-Pharmacist booths.
Pre-K through eighth grade students will receive free scholastic books, and all
