City of Little Rock looking for Adopt-A-Street volunteers

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Keep Little Rock Beautiful and the city's Public Works department is looking for volunteers to do just that: tidy up the city.

They are looking for volunteers for the Adopt-A-Street program. The goal of the program is to beautify the city with volunteers willing to pick up litter and trash on selected streets.

Volunteers and groups identify a street (three to seven blocks or more) and pick up litter and trash at least six times per year. Public Works provides lists of available streets, signage, safety vests and litter bags, and scheduled pick up of trash collected.

Tuesday, Public Works employees volunteered during their lunch break to clean a street they adopted.
