Easter Seals to host free shredding event

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Easter Seas) -- Easter Seals RENEW Recycling is hosting a Community Shred Day in which individuals, schools, churches, and businesses can drop off their paper and secure documents at the Center for Training and Wellness, and we will shred/recycle for free. People can drop off old bank statements, tax returns, bill stubs, and e-waste such as old computers, phones, and printers.

As a thank you, coffee will be provided by Starbucks while volunteers unload your vehicle.

The Shred Day will be Saturday April 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 14901 Cantrell Road.

Tax Delinquent Land Sale Scheduled for Pulaski County

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (CSL) – A public auction for the sale of tax delinquent land in Pulaski County will be held at the Verizon Arena- Meeting Room 1A & 1B in North Little Rock on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., according to John Thurston, Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands.  Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. 

Recent legislation has affected the procedures for the sale of tax delinquent properties and purchasers should take the time to review the changes prior to the auction dates.  The Commissioner of State Lands provides a Catalog of Tax Delinquent Lands which contains the current statutes governing the sales, auction dates, times, location and other pertinent information regarding parcels being offered.  The catalog can be found on the Commissioner’s website at www.cosl.org  or is available in print form by mail.
