Rescued Shih Tzu puppies up for adoption

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Shih Tzu puppies rescued from a puppy mill in Sherwood are now up for adoption.

The 10 puppies were rescued by Sherwood Animal Control on March 17 along with 21 adult Shih tzus from the puppy mill.

Now, Helping Hands for Little Paws says the first litter will be available for adoption at the end of this week.

In this original comedy the Fertle Family from Dumpster, Arkansas, has fallen on hard times. The out-of-work kids have moved back home, and suddenly the Fertles are facing a financial emergency. So when the family comes up with a surefire method to win money gambling, they all take a bus trip to the glittering casinos of Oklahoma.

March for Life event marks 42nd anniversary for Roe v. Wade

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansas Right to Life will host the 37th annual March for Life on Sunday, Jan. 18 to mark the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

The march will be located on West Capitol between Battery and Wolfe Streets, behind the State Capitol.

Wayne Mays, president of Arkansas Right to Life, will lead the march.

The keynote speaker will be Gov. Asa Hutchinson. U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton, District U.S. Congressman French Hill, Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin and many other pro-life officials will attend the march. 

“The 2014 General Elections were very good for unborn children in our state and nation” said Executive Director Rose Mimms.  “In Arkansas we have a 100% Pro-Life Congressional representation in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, the State Capitol and have a pro-life majority in the AR General Assembly.”
